[2026] Evolution Guide: G17 Armors

In The Classic PW 1.8.7, the evolution of armors is simple, straightforward, and part of the character's main progression.

By completing the introductory red missions and finishing the Beginner's Path, the player will already have access to the R8 UP3 equipment, which is the introductory gear for the server's armor progression.

From the R8 UP3 equipment, the player can evolve their armors to G17 UP1, then to G17 UP2, and finally to G17 UP3, which is currently the strongest armor set available on the server.

Progression Summary

  • The player completes the red missions and the Beginner's Path;
  • During this stage, the player receives the R8 UP2 equipment and the materials to evolve to R8 UP3;
  • The R8 UP3 is the introductory equipment for armor progression;
  • The recommendation is to roll the R8 UP3 until good attributes are obtained;
  • After that, the player can evolve to G17 UP1;
  • Next, the progression continues to G17 UP2;
  • Finally, the player reaches G17 UP3, the current endgame equipment of the server.

Where to Farm the Materials?

To evolve the R8 UP3 equipment to G17 equipment, the player will need to complete the Twilight Palace 4-1 instance.

  • The instance can be completed 1 time per day per character;
  • 80% of the drops are bound to the character;
  • 20% of the drops are unbound and can be traded;
  • It is the main content for farming evolution materials for G17 armors.

Alternative Progression with Rank 9

In addition to the main route through R8 UP3 → G17 UP1 → G17 UP2 → G17 UP3, there is also an alternative progression line using Rank 9 equipment.

In this route, the player can evolve their equipment to R9 UP1, R9 UP2, and R9 UP3. With the R9 UP3 equipment and the same materials used in the final evolution of G17, it will be possible to upgrade directly to G17 UP3.

R9 UP1

To create a piece of armor R9 UP1, the player will need the base materials of Rank 9.

R9 UP2

To create a piece of armor R9 UP2, the player will need the corresponding R9 UP1 piece and the upgrade material.

R9 UP3

To create a piece of armor R9 UP3, the player will need the corresponding R9 UP2 piece, as well as Sovereign Seal, Ebony Gold, and silver coins.

Alternative Upgrade from R8 UP3 to R9 UP3

There is also the possibility to directly evolve a piece R8 UP3 to R9 UP3, using the corresponding R8 UP3 equipment plus Powder Waterfall Artifact Powder Waterfall Artifact (9).

R9 UP3 to G17 UP3

After obtaining the R9 UP3 piece, the player can use it as an alternative to the G17 UP2 piece in creating the G17 UP3.

  • Corresponding G17 UP2 piece + G17 UP3 materials;
  • or Corresponding R9 UP3 piece + the same G17 UP3 materials.

G17 UP1 Upgrade to G17 UP1

To craft the G17 UP1, the player will need the corresponding R8 UP3 part and the necessary materials for each piece.

G17 UP2 Upgrade to G17 UP2

To craft the G17 UP2, the player will need the corresponding G17 UP1 part and the necessary materials for each piece.

G17 UP3 Upgrade to G17 UP3

To make the G17 UP3, the player will need the corresponding G17 UP2 part and the necessary materials for each piece.

If the player is following the alternative route of Rank 9, it will also be possible to use the corresponding R9 UP3 part instead of the G17 UP2 part, keeping the same materials listed below.

Progression Recommendation

Before upgrading your equipment to G17, it is recommended to reroll the R8 UP3 equipment until you get good attributes. After that, follow the evolution normally to G17 UP1, G17 UP2, and finally, G17 UP3.

Players who prefer to follow the alternative route of Rank 9 can also reach G17 UP3 using the corresponding R9 UP3 equipment plus the same materials for the final evolution.
