Systems

Class Change System

The Class Change System allows players to change their character's class without having to create a new character from scratch. This system is an advanced progression option aimed at players who want to change their playstyle, try a new role, or better adapt their character to a new build proposal.

Although it is a very useful tool, changing classes requires a lot of attention. When changing classes, some systems are maintained, others are recalculated, and certain equipment or skills may become incompatible with the newly chosen class.

How the system works

When starting the class change process, the player selects the new class they wish to use. From there, the system checks which character information can be retained and which needs to be changed, recalculated, or relearned.

The change does not automatically transform all items and skills to the new class. Therefore, before confirming the change, the player must carefully check which equipment will be compatible, which attributes will be recalculated, and which systems will need adjustments after the change.

  • The player chooses a new class for the character.
  • The system checks which equipment is compatible with the new class.
  • Some character attributes are recalculated.
  • Skills from the previous class are forgotten and need to be relearned.
  • Some systems are maintained but may require adjustments after the change.

Classes and compatibility

Class changes are free, allowing players to choose the class they wish to pursue. However, it is important to consider the compatibility of equipment before making this choice.

Classes that use similar types of equipment tend to make better use of items already acquired. For example, a heavy physical class character may find it easier to switch to another class that also uses heavy equipment.

  • Heavy classes tend to make better use of heavy equipment.
  • Light classes tend to make better use of light equipment.
  • Magical classes tend to make better use of magical equipment.
  • Class-specific weapons may not be inherited.
  • Choosing a compatible class helps reduce losses during the change.

Equipment after the change

One of the most important points of class change is the compatibility of equipment. The character can only use equipment that is compatible with the newly chosen class.

If an item is not compatible, it may still exist on the character but cannot be used correctly by the new class. This is especially important for exclusive weapons, fame equipment, and items with specific restrictions.

  • Compatible equipment can continue to be used.
  • Incompatible equipment may become unavailable for the new class.
  • Exclusive class weapons require special attention.
  • Some fame equipment may not be inherited.
  • Before changing, the player should check which items will be utilized.

New class skills

When changing classes, the skills from the previous class are forgotten. This means that the player will need to relearn the skills of the new class after completing the change.

Rune skills also require attention, as the character does not necessarily lose the runes but will need to learn the corresponding skills of the new class to use them correctly.

  • Skills from the previous class are removed.
  • The player needs to learn the skills of the new class.
  • Rune skills need to be configured again.
  • Macros and skill bars may need to be reorganized.
  • After the change, it is recommended to review the entire character rotation.

Recalculated attributes

After the class change, the character's attribute points are reset and need to be redistributed. Additionally, some characteristics of the character are recalculated according to the newly chosen class.

This can affect attributes such as attack speed, range, HP and MP recovery, movement speed, critical chance, and other important values. Therefore, the new build should be planned based on the needs of the new class.

  • Attribute points are reset.
  • The player needs to redistribute points after the change.
  • Some attributes are recalculated according to the new class.
  • The new class may function differently from the previous one.
  • It is recommended to review equipment, cards, runes, and other systems after the change.

Systems that can be maintained

Many character systems can be maintained after the class change, but some may require adjustments. Information such as character name, overall progress, titles, inventory, bank, codex, and other systems can remain linked to the character.

However, even when a system is maintained, it may behave differently depending on the new class. Therefore, it is important to review all systems after the change to ensure that the character is correctly configured.

  • The character's name is retained.
  • Part of the character's overall progress remains preserved.
  • Inventory, bank, and collection systems can continue to be linked to the character.
  • Titles and records already earned can continue to exist.
  • Some systems may need adjustments or reconfiguration.

Astrolabe and other special systems

Some special systems require additional attention during the class change. The Astrolabe, for example, may not be directly inherited for immediate use by the new class, even if previous progress is not simply lost.

In some cases, it may be necessary to perform additional procedures to reuse part of the progress, unlock usage, or reconfigure the system for the new class. Therefore, before confirming the change, the player should pay attention to all warnings displayed by the interface.

  • Some systems may be maintained but require adjustments.
  • The Astrolabe may need special attention after the change.
  • Runes may require the skills of the new class to be relearned.
  • Codex items incompatible with the new class may become hidden.
  • It is important to review all warnings before confirming the change.

Requirements for changing classes

Changing classes has specific requirements. The character must be at an advanced stage of progression and meet all conditions required by the system before being able to make the change.

Among the known requirements, the character must be at level 105, possess Reborn 2, have Demonic or Immortal cultivation, not be in an Arena group, and meet other conditions displayed by the change interface.

  • Be at the required level to make the change.
  • Possess the required stage of Rebirth.
  • Have the necessary advanced cultivation.
  • Not be subject to restrictions that prevent the change.
  • Remove equipped visual clothes and weapons when requested.
  • Have the necessary item to initiate the change process.

Precautions before changing classes

Before confirming the class change, the player should carefully review all the impacts of the change. The new class may have a completely different playstyle, attributes, equipment, skills, and priorities compared to the previous class.

It is also important to check if the main equipment will be utilized, if the new class fits the desired build, and if the player is prepared to relearn skills and reorganize the character's configuration.

  • Check if the new class is truly the desired choice.
  • Verify which equipment will be compatible.
  • Analyze if it will be necessary to change weapons, armor, or accessories.
  • Prepare to relearn skills and reorganize bars.
  • Review attributes, runes, cards, and other systems after the change.
  • Read all interface warnings before confirming.

When is it worth changing classes?

Changing classes can be worthwhile when the player wants to completely change their playstyle or when the new class better aligns with their goals. It can also be a good option for those who want to take advantage of the progress of an already advanced character without starting over.

However, the decision should be made with planning. Switching to a class incompatible with current equipment may require many adjustments and new investments to make the character efficient again.

  • It is worth it to change playstyle without creating another character.
  • It can be useful to adapt the character to a new role.
  • It is safer when the new class makes good use of much of the current equipment.
  • It requires planning when the new class uses a different type of equipment.
  • It should only be done after understanding all the consequences of the change.

Importance of the Class Change System

The Class Change System is important because it offers more freedom to the player. It allows transforming an already evolved character into another class while retaining a significant part of the progress achieved over time.

Even so, it is not a system that should be used carelessly. Since the change can affect equipment, skills, attributes, and configurations, the player needs to prepare before confirming the change.

When used with planning, this system allows exploring new classes, changing the character's role, and better adapting the build to the player's objectives without completely abandoning the progress already achieved.
