Evolution Roadmap for The Classic PW 1.8.7

The Classic PW 1.8.7 is launching in a modern version, with many systems, instances, events, and progression possibilities.

For this reason, our evolution planning will be handled carefully. We do not want to overload players right from the start with an excessive amount of content, systems, and daily obligations.

Our goal is to create a balanced experience, where both players who already know more modern versions and those experiencing this content for the first time can progress in a natural, fun, and organized way.

Gradual content evolution

The server’s proposal is to evolve gradually. New content, instances, systems, events, and mechanics will be added over time, respecting the pace of the community and the current stage of the server.

We do not want to simply release everything at once. Perfect World has many important pieces of content, and each stage needs to have its value within the players’ journey.

For this reason, The Classic PW 1.8.7 roadmap will be built with well-planned intervals between updates, allowing players to enjoy each phase before new challenges arrive.

Our final goal

In the long term, our goal is for the server to progress until it reaches the most current content of Chinese Perfect World, including systems, instances, PvE content, PvP content, and modern mechanics.

This path will be progressive. We want the server to have a long, healthy, and constant journey, without rushing through important stages of progression.

The idea is to keep the game always alive, with relevant updates arriving over time, but without turning the players’ routine into a tiring and excessive race.

PvE and PvP content

PvE and PvP content will follow a gradual evolution path. New instances, events, maps, systems, and challenges will be added as the server matures.

Before releasing new content, we will observe the community’s pace, character progression, the server economy, and the real need for new activities.

This way, each update will have a clear purpose: improving the experience, expanding progression, moving the economy, or bringing new challenges to players.

Classes always up to date

Regarding classes, our proposal will be different from the content evolution.

While instances, equipment, and systems will be released gradually, classes will follow a more up-to-date approach. Whenever new classes are released in Chinese Perfect World, our goal will be to study them and bring them to The Classic PW 1.8.7 as quickly as possible.

We want the server to always stay modern in terms of class diversity, allowing players to access new options and explore new ways to play.

This means the server may receive new classes even while other advanced content is still being released gradually.

Equipment and power progression

Equipment evolution will be handled very carefully.

We know that stronger equipment is part of Perfect World’s natural progression, and yes, The Classic PW 1.8.7 will have power evolution over time.

However, we do not want to accelerate this process artificially. Each progression stage needs to have importance, market value, and enough time to be properly enjoyed by players.

New equipment, new power levels, and new systems linked to character strength will only be added when we understand that the server is truly ready for them.

Measured and calculated updates

The entire evolution of the server will be done in a measured and well-calculated way.

We will closely monitor PvE, PvP, commerce, farming, the economy, and the average progression level of players before releasing major-impact content.

Our focus is to prevent an update from making previous content irrelevant too soon. We want to preserve the value of existing instances, farming routes, equipment, and systems before moving on to the next stage.

A long and constant journey

The Classic PW 1.8.7 was designed to have a long journey.

We do not want a server where everything is consumed quickly. We want an experience with constant evolution, well-distributed updates, and content that remains relevant for enough time.

With each new phase, players will have new goals, new farming routes, new challenges, and new ways to strengthen their characters.
